Q:  How fast will I learn?
A:  This is a challenging question as it varies from student to student, since each individual rider has different skill sets.  Some people learn in a few weeks, some may take a month.  With our instruction, most people enjoy a fast learning curve.  The sport is weather dependent and the weather dictates the schedule.

Q:  What will I learn?
A:  Safety, kite control, setting up your bar and lines,  wind orientation and your surrounding environment, weather (the good, bad and the ugly) flying “high-depower” kites,  body drags in the water, board retrieval, self launching / landing, water relaunch, self rescue with exit scenarios,  and water starts.  “See lessons”.

Q:  How long is the lesson?
A:  The time averages from 4-8 hours for the whole package, usually covering a two day period, depending on weather conditions.  After the initial beginner lesson, we always spend additional time with students to make sure their new gear is set up properly, and that all safety features are working.

Q:  How much does it cost?
A:  The initial beginner package is $400.00 and requires a $50.00 deposit.  Advanced lessons, are $75.00 per hour with gear included.

Q:  Are there any short-cuts in the learning curve?
A:  Yes, getting your hands on a trainer kite ahead of time and watching an instructional DVD will increase your learning curve.  A lesson is still critical; don’t get yourself injured with a large power kite.

Q:  Will previous board experience help?
A:  Yes, if you have been wakeboarding, snowboarding or even skateboarding, all of these edging sports will be helpful.  Many people learn kitesurfing despite limited board-sport experience.  To increase your boarding skills, check out the Orlando Watersports Complex, Orlando, FL.

Q:  What do I need to bring?
A:  Please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a wetsuit if the water is chillin’, sunglasses, a towel and water booties are also a good idea.  A desire to learn is also required.  We provide all the kites and gear for you to learn.

Q:  Is kitesurfing dangerous?
A:  Without lessons, a large kite used in kitesurfing can be very dangerous, especially in the possession of a person lacking instruction.  The large kites can generate tremendous power.  Keeping a safe distance from any obstacle is mandatory.  With proper instruction, learning to kitesurf does not have to be frustrating or dangerous.
